Continue with the next pill pack, regardless of whether you have your period. Stick to one tablet per day, and if you miss your period, consult a doctor.

For the first month on this medication, use an additional form of non-hormonal birth control for the initial 7 days to prevent pregnancy until the medication takes full effect.

It is also contraindicated for those who have a history of heart attack, breast cancer, or are allergic to desogestrel or ethinyl estradiol.
