3. Telemedicine and its limits
Telemedicine has limitations and is not appropriate for every situation. A professional may determine that an in-person examination, local resource, testing or specialist consultation is required. Access to a consultation does not guarantee a diagnosis, treatment, prescription, requisition, referral or medical note.
All clinical decisions belong to the healthcare professional, based on independent judgment, the available information and applicable standards.
4. Emergencies
Do not use LASO MD for a medical emergency, suicidal crisis, violent situation or immediate danger. Call 911 or go to the appropriate emergency department. Website content is general and is not a diagnosis or personalized medical advice.
5. Fees, payment and cancellation
Applicable fees are shown before a transaction is confirmed. Taxes and third-party fees may apply when stated. Cancellation, rescheduling, no-show and refund rules displayed during booking form part of these terms. If there is a conflict, the specific terms clearly presented for that transaction will govern it.
6. Acceptable use
You must use the website and platform lawfully, honestly and respectfully.
- Do not bypass security, access accounts or data without authorization, or disrupt the service.
- Do not submit false, fraudulent, threatening or unlawful content, or content that violates another person’s rights.
- Do not use the service to obtain, divert or share a prescription or treatment improperly.
- Do not record a consultation without every consent required by law.
7. Healthcare professionals
Professionals who provide care through LASO MD must hold the required licences and authorizations. They exercise independent clinical judgment. LASO MD provides infrastructure and support services without directing individual clinical decisions.
8. Intellectual property
The website, brand, copy, interface, graphics and software are protected by applicable law. You receive a limited, personal and revocable permission to use the services in accordance with these terms. Unauthorized reproduction, extraction, modification or exploitation is prohibited.
9. Privacy
The Privacy Policy governs the handling of personal information. Use only the appropriate channels for sensitive information and never include medical information in the general contact form.
10. Third-party services and links
The website may link to a pharmacy, laboratory, payment processor or other independent resource. Their own terms and policies may apply. LASO MD is not responsible for the availability or content of an independent service it does not control.
